As the sun sets it lights up the sky with its kaleidoscope of colors. Always unpredictable and fresh each sunset is like a tribute to the day gone past. The sun in many ancient pagan traditions was one of the most important deities. The sun gives all living beings life-force, without it we would not be here. Sunsets remind us about sun’s amazing power.

Beach Sunsets: Fire and Water

Beach sunsets have a particular significance, it is where the element of fire meets the element of water. The rays of sun light up the ocean waves, setting them on fire. Print #84 Purple Sunset, provides us with a great example of this interplay, the sun reflecting with orange colors in the ocean waves. The blue colors of this particular sunset compliment the serene, mysterious feeling of this composition.
